Today Square Enix has announced that the Nintendo 3DS rhythm action spin-off Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call will get two Special Editions. The Limited Edition is a pre-order bonus and includes a five-track music CD.
The Collector’s Edition of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call is sold through the Square Enix store for £44.99 GBP / € 54.99 EUR / $69.99 USD and includes the following:
- Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call Limited Edition
- 3DS Collector’s Pouch
- 20-track The Best of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call CD
- Set of five cards based on the Collect a Card designs of the game – you can enter the password on the card into the game to get the in-game version
According to the Square Enix Online Store the US Version of the Collector’s Edition is limited to 5000 copies and comes with a different box art than the EU Version.

Zelda Musou information has been revealed in Famitsu, the game will release on August 14 in Japan and is also getting two Special Editions: Premium Box and Treasure Box, both are released exclusively in Japan.
The Premium Box will retail for 11,664 JPY ($117 USD) and the Treasure Box will retail for 14,904 JPY ($149 JPY). The Treasure box is exclusive to Amazon.co.jp and GAMECITY.
Zelda Musou Premium Box includes the following:
- Official Art Book collection
- Tri-Force Table clock
- “Courage” costume set (3 types)
- “Wisdom” costume set (3 types)
- “Power” costume set (2 types)
Zelda Musou Treasure Box includes the following:

Today, Mark Darrah has announced an Uber Edition for Dragon Age Inquisition on Twitter. The Uber Edition of Dragon Age Inquisition will be available in Europe, Australia and North America through Gamestop / EBGames stores.
The Uber Edition will set you back $170 USD / €170 EUR / £ 130 GBP and includes:
- Highly detailed exclusive Inquisitor Collector’s Edition case produced by TriForce measures approximately 3.5″ x 7.5″ x 11.5″

Square Enix have sought community feedback on the Drakengard 3 release plans in Europe and in response to that feedback they will be releasing a Collector’s Edition for Drakengard 3 in Europe. The Collector’s Edition will be available exclusively from the Square Enix Store (and the SE boutique for France) – The Collector’s Edition of Drakengard 3 is a very limited run with only 2,000 of them in total.
At a price of €69.99 EUR the Collector’s Edition of Drakengard 3 contains the following:
- Clamshell Box – An eloquent display case featuring the flower that grows from Zero’s eye
- Hardback Novella – This beautifully illustrated 160 page prequel story to Drakengard 3 (available in English language only) contains a collection of short stories written from the perspectives of each character
- Add-on Pack – Downloadable tokens for the Ciam costume, an additional level where you play as One, Zero’s sister, and a Giant Baby Hat (yes, an enormous baby’s head for your dragon, Mikhail)
- Music Sampler CD – A CD containing a selection of mesmerising tracks from the game’s original soundtrack, composed by Keiichi Okabe (who also created the score for Nier)
- Double Sided Poster – A collectable double sided poster only available in the Collector’s Edition of Drakengard 3
- The Game – While there won’t be a physical disc version of the Drakengard 3 for Europe and PAL territories, a download token will be included inside the box which you can redeem on the PlayStation Store
- Japanese Voice DLC – Experience the game in its original audio with a download token for the original Japanese voice acting! 505 Games have just announced a release date and some pre-order bonuses for Sniper Elite 3, but wait! That is not all, they have also announced a Collector’s Edition for Sniper Elite 3.
For only $69.99 USD the Collector’s Edition comes at a reasonable price with the following content:
- Limited Edition Ammo Tin Box
- Collectible Playing Cards
- Bullet-shaped Torch Pen
- Dossier
- Dog Tag
- Sniper Shooting Range Target
- 3 Exclusive DLC Weapon and Outfit Packs
So far the Collector’s Edition has only been listed for Playstation 4 and Xbox One so it seems it might be exclusive to next-gen platforms. The game itself however is set to release in North America on July 1st for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and self published by Rebellion Studios on PC on July 27th.

NIS America have a large niche fan-base and now one of their newest localization is up to pre-order at the NIS America Online Store. The Limited Edition of The Witch and the Hundred Knight is available exclusively for the PlayStation 3 and priced at $74.99 USD.
As most loyal customers already know there will be no reprinting or remanufacturing so “sold out” actually means “sold out” and if you want to secure a copy you better hurry up as these tend to sell pretty fast.
The Limited Edition of The Witch and the Hundred Knight comes in a collector’s box and contains the following:
- PS3 game with reversible front cover
- Full color, hardcover art book
- 2-disc original soundtrack with jewel case
Alongside you will also receive a Metallia Nendoroid Petite figure in a separate box.
The game is scheduled for release on March 25th, 2014.

Today Square Enix has announced the Collector’s Edition of, the last game set in the Final Fantasy XIII universe, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.
The game will only be available on what’s just become the last generation, in written words PS3 & Xbox 360, and is hitting stores on Febraury 11th, 2014 in North America and only two days later February 14th, 2014 in Europe.
The Collector’s Edition of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is available exclusively through the Square Enix Online Store for $89.99 USD (~ €65 EUR) and contains the following:
- Premium packaging featuring artwork from the Japan release
- 80 page hardcover artbook containing Tetsuya Nomura’s original sketches of Lightning, a foreword from art director Isamu Kamikokuryo, and concept art from Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
- Silver embossed pocket watch
- DLC code for Final Fantasy VII’s Aerith Gainsborough’s “Midgar’s Flower Girl” outfit
So far the Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Collector’s Edition is only confirmed for America. No details yet on availability in Europe or Australasia.

If you haven’t heard, Cyan Inc, the company responsible for the classic PC adventure game Myst, is currently running a Kickstarter for their new project “Obduction”. This new game is not a sequel to the classic point and click adventure but a spiritual successor. Right now the game has only been announced as being exclusive to the PC (Windows and Mac) and only available via digital-download. However as a Kickstarter only reward at the $75 and up level (or as a $50 add-on to any other level) a Special Boxed Edition will be made available for those of us (collectors) who appreciate our games boxed and on physical media. There are also a lot of other exclusive goodies including art-books and signed prints at various other support levels if you’re interested in that sort of thing.
Currently there is only 3-days left to back this project, and Cyan is less than $30K from reaching their $1.1 Million goal. Should they meet their goal (and it seems likely that they will) then the game is scheduled for release mid to late 2015.

Today, Namco Bandai has unveiled the Goko Edition for their upcoming fighting game Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z. They also announced that the action fighter will release in Europe on January 24th.
The Goku Edition will be for sale in Europe and contains the following:
- Exclusive Figurine – Super Saiyan Goku (~25 cm / ~10 inch)
- Artbook of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z – Privileged Content from the Dev Team
- Unique In-Game content – Naruto Sage’s Costume for Goku
