I went to pickup my Mass Effect 3 Collector’s Edition yesterday and to my surprise GameStop was giving away sealed G1 sized SteelBook cases with pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed III on 360, PS3, and PC. The deal doesn’t seem to be specific to GameStop as Amazon.com is also offering SteelBooks as a pre-order bonus. The Clerk also seemed to think that there was going to be a First Edition upgrade announced soon, similar to the Signature Edition for AC Revelations.

Yesterday I received word from Ghostlight that they’re offering a extremely limited version of the Agarest: Generations of War Zero Collector’s Edition.
After some interest was shown both on Twitter and in the comments section of the Blog in purchasing one of these, we’ve been looking into ways of turning this into a very special, very exclusive collector’s item for fans of this great game. After some careful thought we believe we now have something we can offer you.
We will be making a very limited run of 15 of these superb Ultimate Collector’s Editions available, priced at £499 (not including shipping or insurance). The frames themselves will be handmade and the package will then be personally signed and authenticated by Mr. Hirano (Art lead) and Mr. Sugano (Producer/Director) from Idea Factory. Nintendo has recently tweeted that Pandora’s Tower will get a Limited edition release. It will come in a cardboard box similar in size to both “Xenoblade” and “The Last Story” and contain the following:
- Standard copy of the game
- Steel book case (separate item)
- 32 Page Art book
Currently only Europe is confirmed to be getting this edition, there is no word as yet on Australia and New Zealand. It is currently scheduled for release on the 13th of April 2012.

I wrote this a few months back but never got around to publishing it for whatever reason, now is a as good a time as any though…
Those of you who know me personally know that the Sega Dreamcast is my favorite classic console, and that the PS2 is one of my least favorite consoles (due to it’s role in killing off my beloved Dreamcast). You might also know that most of my CEs are for the Xbox and Xbox 360 and I almost never buy anything outside of the NTSC region, especially not if the release isn’t in English. So how is it that one of my newest and most cherished acquisitions is a PS2 title from Japan? One word: “Rez”.

Ah yes, the Jagged Alliance series. One of my favorite strategy game, especially Jagged Alliance 2. And now there is a proper remake, not like Brigade E5 or Hired Guns. Ladies and gents, I proudly present: Jagged Alliance Back in Action. The publisher reveals three different editions.
