I’ve been reading a lot of SpeedHunter’s lately, also Kotaku has quickly become my favorite resource for gaming news. I really like the photo-blog style of Speed Hunters and the down to earth commentary on Kotaku. With that in mind I decided to add a little more flare here and there to the photos for this release and I’ve added a bit of personal commentary.
I’d appreciate some feedback as to whether this is something you’d like to see more of in the future or if you’d prefer the more no-nonsense approach that I’ve taken in the past.

Mysteriously vague listings have popped up for a Collector’s Edition release of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Gamestop.com lists the CE version for Xbox 360, Playstation3, and PC while Amazon currently has a listing for just the Xbox 360. These all have a release date of November 10th this year and a price tag of about $80.
Here’s hoping this time around the CE packaging of a COD game will live up to the stardard of quality as the game itself, I’m not holding my breath though.

With the most recent details unveiled we have a pretty clear view of what’s included and it looks to be one of the nicer CEs released this year.
Scheduled for released on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on June 9th in the US and on June 19th in Europe. This edition will come in a large digi-pak case and is slated to include the following:
- 14″ Batarang with stand (matches in-game design)
- Arkham Doctor’s Journal – 48 pages of notes on Arkham’s inmate
- Behind-the-Scenes DVD

The game is pricey though fetching $100 in US markets and £60 across the pond.

CollectorsEdition.org is proud to announce that we now have community forums available. What started as a simple database of collector’s Edition games has been growing and we felt that in order for the community to truly flourish a forum was needed.
The forums have been integrated into the main site such that your comments on news posts will now be handled by the forums, also if you had previously registered on the main site in order to post comments, then there is no need for you to register on the forums as your account information has been transferred over. (UPDATE: Some are reporting that the forum wont accept their password, if this happens simply use the Forgot Password feature and have the forum reset it for you, contact us if you experience any problems after that)
This is just the beginning of the new and exciting features we hope to be able to bring you, we certainly have more planned so stay tuned.

StageSelect has revealed the final North American Box Art details for Street Fighter IV Collector’s Edition.
Detail on what it includes:
North American deets for the long-awaited Collector’s Edition! We’re not just throwing a craptacular “behind-the-scenes” video and “art book” with less images than you can find on any website into a cheesey tin box. Instead, we’re bringing you a gorgeous package that includes:
- The game (duh)
- A limited-edition (ie., not sold anywhere else) figurine – Ryu in the PS3 box, C. Viper hotness in the 360 flavor. Decisions, decisions…
- Street Fighter IV: The Ties That Bind: a 65 minute anime movie — created by Studio 4C — that sets up the story of SFIV by explaining events post-SFII. BluRay disc in the PS3 box! The Xbox version is a 360 game disc that outputs the movie at 720P, not a DVD.
- A mini-strategy guide from Prima, written by the same people doing the full-on guide and illustrated by Udon Comics
- CD soundtrack. Rock SFIV stage chunez in your car!
- …Plus some secret additional downloadable content that we’re not quite ready to reveal at this point. Look for more announcements soon!
All this wrapped up nicely in a box that features Ikeno-san’s instant classic illustration of Ryu, with images of the other characters on the sides.
