While North America is getting the Dead Island Riptide Rigor Mortis Edition, it’s rumored that Europe will get a so-called Dead Island Riptide Zombie Bait Edition.
The Edition is still yet to be confirmed from Deep Silver. But the price is supposed to be 120 Euro and the only known content so far is a female zombie bikini torso statue.
Update:
The Dead Island Riptide Zombie Bait Edition is now confirmed and available for pre-order at Gamesonly.at for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360
Limited to 8000 units the collector’s Edition comes in a fancy box with the following:
- Steelbook
- 2x DLC with alternate Character Skin & Pack of Weapon MODs
- bloody, hand-painted zombie bikini torso made from synthetic resin (weight 2.5 kg (~ 5.5 lbs), height 33 cm (~12.99 inch))
The Edition is exclusively sold through Gamesonly.at for Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
Update 2:
Q & A with Gamesonly.at
Q: Are game & steelbook included in the box or are they separate?
A: Game & Steelbook will be in the box together with the torso statue.
Q: Does the box come sealed in any way?
A: The box will not come sealed.
Q: Is this Edition really available for all 3 platforms (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)?
A: We guarantee a 100% delivery for all 3 platforms. However the box itself will not have any platform branding.
Q: In other European countries the bikini of the torso comes with the British flag, is yours really wearing the US flag?
A: It is still unknown which flag can be seen on our bikini but we keep you up to date through our Newsletter.
Dead Island is scheduled for release on 26th April
Thanks to Mathika for the heads up!

Back in 2012 Deep silver sought community feedback via a poll to decide what would make it to the riptide collector’s edition.
An unusual decision as collector’s are used to getting whatever is chosen with little to no input from the fan base, so the following is what YOU (or at least some of you) voted to make the final cut.
it will feature an alternate box art, digital strategy map, in-game unlockable content additionally chosen by you
The following content comes all wrapped up in travel suitcase packaging
- Zombie hula girl bobble figurine
- Bloody zombie arm bottle opener magnet
- Bungalow key with branded wood keychain
Available in “extremely limited” quantities, the Rigor Mortis Edition will cost $79.99 for PS3 and XBOX 360 and will be shuffling into stores as of April 23rd in North America
As of yet collector edition details are yet to be announced outside of America
pre-orders can currently be placed at Amazon.com
Special Thanks goes to comaamen86

As many of you let us know, two CEs have been announced for the upcoming release of Activision’s Call of Duty Black Ops II. slated for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 13th, its very likely that both of these editions will be available in large quantities world wide.
The Hardened Edition will retail for about $80 (USD) and feature a fancy box along with a SteelBook (G1 for 360 and G2 for PS3), a Soundtrack, some “Challenge Coins” and some bonus content: “Nuketown Zomebies” and “Nuketown 2025” among some additional in-game weapons and other bonuses.
The PS3 release will also include some dashboard themes, while the 360 release will include some Avatar items.
The Care Package edition will retail for about $180 (USD) and includes everything from the Hardened Edition except it looks to come in a massive crate to house all the content along with a remote controlled quad-copter based on the “MD-27 Dragonfire Drone”. Pushing the gadget envelope even further than past releases.

Yesterday we told you about the Limited Edition OUYA console that had been announced, today we received some more details.
Previously it was unknown how many controllers OUYA supported but they officially announced that OUYA will support up to 4 controllers.
Also announced is that the controller included with the Limited Edition will have a matching rich brown brushed metal finish. Even better is that any controllers you order with the limited edition will match the finish of the limited edition (so you can order 3 extra controllers and all of them will include the limited edition finish)
Finally they have officially “sold out” of the pledge tier that allows you to get your name etched into the console only 2500 lucky people will have special consoles with their name etched in it.
There is only a few hours left before you’ll miss your chance to order a Limited Edition OUYA, so if you want one and haven’t pledged yet: head over to the kickstarter page.

If you haven’t heard about OUYA, it’s a new console that was recently announced by way of a Kickstarter. Rather than another big-name-brand console OUYA is designed to be low priced for consumers and developers alike. It’s based on the Android operating system and is basically a $100 (USD) console that lets you play smart phone and tablet games and apps on your HDTV.
There are lots of other great reasons you should be interested in this console so I encourage you to check out the video above.
If you’re wondering why a console that takes no physical media is being mentioned on a website for people who collect physical media video games, that’s because a Limited Edition OUYA was announced just recently and you’ll only have a few days to snag one. For an Extra $40 (USD) instead of a silver OUYA you’ll get one in a “rich BROWN BRUSHED METAL FINISH”. Its unclear if the included controllers come in that finish as well or if there are other special traits that makes this edition unique.
It’s worth noting that there are higher “donation” tiers available that offer other special features such as getting your name etched into the console and controller. For those of you outside the US, they do ship internationally too.
