Got my Assassins Creed III Ubiworkshop Edition today, at last!

What came as a big surprise to me, is that I didn't pay any taxes, even handling fees!!!

Although I was informed that I would have to pay 60-70E at least.

Anyhow, the outer box arrived in good condition, not perfect though like the inside contents.

Very happy that I didn't pay the taxes I was supposed to. The only thing I can think is that they handled it like amazon.com does when you pay import fees before shipping.

I have also received the Assassins Creed III Collector's Guide! :)

Square Enix doesn't do that themselves, I bet it came from EBGames...they like to open peoples CE just to put a meaningless sticker on top of the original PEGI ones. Just like they did for Crystal Edition.

To add to this it would be the store itself as both jb hifi and ebgames buy games from the same distributer for this country, so unless the distributor had specific instructions they will just forward the games onto eb and jb and the stickers would be part of the franchises rule system

Usually the distributor chooses whether to reprint the slick or not before sending the copy to eb and jb, it depends on the publisher telling the distributer to give us new slicks for the games with our rating printed on them, ce's dont get reprinted as its not worth the price to make new boxes when they can mail a thousand stickers.. Give me a week or 2 and i can get a price list on what eb/jb/gametraders and revolution cd pay for games, on average i think the distributer charges around $10 extra per game and about $10 shipping per game ontop of what they pay bringing it to about 50-70 per game the extra 60- 40 is profit.. This is going by the wholesale costs of the candy that eb sells

I bought the Hitman CE today. I was kind of bummed 'cause I thought I was getting the Hitman big head figure; but it's not included in the US CE. After opening the CE though, I got over not having the figure. This is one dead sexy CE. I love the way it turned out. The materials are really classy. The case almost feels like silky soft leather. It's an overall simple package, yet it's still impressive and elegant. I definitely think it looks better than the big, clunky box from other regions.

Did all regions get the same Hitman CE; that is to say, is my CE the same one that's included in the CE with the figure?

From what I can tell from the sticker on the front, it was given to people who purchased a copy of Phantom Hourglass and a Nintendo DSL system together. Maybe the Gold PH DSL bundle? 0.o I couldn't tell you which stores were giving these away at the time though! >.< that's as much info as I have about it! XD

They made a ton of those editions to my knowledge as they are all over yahoo japan auctions and amazon.co.jp

I think it's more just the issue of either getting it exported from japan or finding it on a non-japan ebay in all honesty

I guess it really depends on what you payed for it to determine whether or not it's a good deal

Haha, yeah the achievements are pretty easy to get for it :) There's a few "challenge" things which I've yet to do, tried them, and they're so frustrating that I shouted abuse at my telly then refused to play anymore haha :suicide: so will go back to attempt them later once I've calmed down :P xx

If you are going to open the assassins creed anthology go for Xbox 360 as it is only a slip cover that has the Xbox / ps3 branding on
The actual box art has no branding anywhere other then the ac logo

There from a company called boston america, they make and supply the candy to numerous countries in australia they supply to goldie marketing who then supply to ebgames and me

Its a minimum order of about $250 from goldie, i got away with $225 as they ran out on wii mote and gamecube candies

These are mostly for my store, i can always order another batch or keep one of the boxes sealed, but each container pops out as a display and each candy is shrinkwrapped so if i just keep the displays set up and a few candies im happy

big shop today, family guy game edition lego lord of the rings game figure edition, far cry 3 vaas figure turned up (but no tee damm you ubi O_O)

also ordered dishonored of game website the se is back up to 27.99 but had 10 worth of points and wanted to get those tarot cards

yeah first lego game i played was batman and since then been picking them up every now and then, very fun to play and like the mini figures that come with em, played the lego lotr demo on live as i am not a fan of lotr and its as good as ever
