It is really heavy, I love the feel of the box too.. very cloth like. I was expecting it to be more cardboard like material.

Wow, I still haven't opened mine, but thanks so much for sharing all those pics! It looks gorgeous! I got mine for around $25 I think, but was still an amazing deal for sure!

I'm with ya on the game art, but that's how FFs have been since the beginning. The in-game art was in no way comparable to concept or artbook-type art, most likely due to limitations in consoles. I remember reading through the FFVI/III SNES manual and being like "who are these weird looking people" cuz they didn't look anything like the sprites on the game ;)

Nice - we had one of those concerts up this way recently too, but I couldn't get away from my prior engagements when it was showing. I've limited myself for the most part with FF collecting because I find myself to be more of a retro-FF fan than an "everything FF" fan which is why I haven't picked up any of these nice-looking OST sets either. Glad to hear the concert is worth attending though! Will definitely consider it in the future! :D

yep and I ordered one too ad it's back to their warehouse ( It never came to be delivered to my house ever), and now they want me to pay the return fee of the shipping.

The previous one was destroyed by the customs ( and I paid 29e of customs) and nobody refunded me anything ( they even ignored my mails ) and now this one stuck in their warehouse because of their own fault and I should pay for it?

I deffinitly have a beef with sanborns now.

In my case the customs were stupid because they said the shipping can't be free and that I paid too little for it, so they asked for invoices and stuff to prove that I'm right (this thing lasted for almost two weeks). I payed the import taxes to DHL when they delivered the package, no complain here.

Mine arrived pretty well, too bad it was on display and had price stickers on it (I removed them, but... it's not that nice anymore).

No, not a Dark Souls fan really... I do like that statue a lot though. I am a sissy gamer who plays games always on normal and am not interested in high difficulty... sucks the fun out of my experience.

The statues are from a large production (4,200 each) but since they are available only to employees they only show up every now and then. I'm torn whether they are actually worth what I ended up paying for them, but as a Blizzard fan... once seen, must have.

You should try the show... I think it is really funny. The first season is not all that good as it was just starting out and things were not set up just right yet, but after that it gets really funny IMO.

It does get tedious to take pics of each item. I like it though as far as having each one saved in picture form though. What sucks with group pics is if you decide to get rid of one or two items in the pic then it no longer represents your collection.

Yeah slight differences... probably an earlier version of that scene. Or just a different depiction of it by the artist. It is a very cool standee.

Yea I don't know if this standee is from the release window or from the pre order window (window meaning time frame) as the make one set of PoS mercy to build pre orders and on initial information release which are usually the ones that are wrong, so its probably from the pre order set and not the release PoS merch

I'm upset enough.

After messing with it some even if I were to somehow glue it back together it would be obvious it had been broken. Would definitely need a touch up on the paint job.

UPS is coming by to pick it up today. They want to inspect it to determine if its their fault and make a decision on if their going to pay the claim. If they do then does anyone know what they will do with it? Will they give it back to me if they pay my claim or will they just toss it out? If they pay the claim and toss it out then I'll have to try to track another one down. If they pay the claim and give it back then I should have the cash to commission an artist to repair it. If they refuse to pay my claim then I guess I'll be sending it back to the ebay seller.

I am someone who does not keep statues in boxes... I feel if i like it enough to buy it I want to display it (I suppose in some cases statues have boxes that have good windows but that seems rare to have decent viewing windows)... so the box really has no value to me. Like my Kindoms of Amalur statue boxes, they both have the number on them and both are damaged a little but they sit in my closet anyways. But I know some collectors love their box as much as their $300 statue, to each their own.

Glad you changed your point of view since the day you won it, but it's too bad it let you down.
That sucks, but again it was free so even if you are not blown away you can sell it and get something that would blow you away.
You should take some detailed pics of the statue and the bad spot to show other members, it is always good to have them see the issue they may run into.

As previously mentioned you should sell it since you are not blown away by it and are upset with the quality/issues.

I actually never lost sight of that. Partly because I do not have the extra money to get a game without getting my moneys worth out of it by playing it (and usually playing it within the first few weeks and then selling it)... and I never collect regular games nor CEs (especially sealed CEs). I actually have one sealed Darksiders 1 Limited Edition but only because it is so rare and was only available in Singapore. I ahve the internals of the D2 CEs but I would never care to buy sealed ones of those.

It did not look like it had been opened and I did sit their with the sealed shipping box for 3 minutes examining it as I do with all my packages
And they got the statue from Germany and then shipped it to me so I think they just took any random statue from the uplay (German warehouse/ European store) as it took them 25 days (3 working weeks) to tell me they had the statue in hand and was ready to send it out to me and asked for the delivery address)

So either

I am really unlucky
They are all this bad
My attention for detail is too high and nobody else noticed all the badness

You would think quality control would be higher.

The McFarlane Kenway statue has improved on all these facets and more.

Was it Ubishop who sent it (or made it)? I think a lot of statues are not worth the money.

McFarlane from what I can tell makes amazing quality statues.

This is the UPLAY exclusive edition and after I posted I started thinking that it looked more like the dedsec steelbook so went online to check...

Just sent a really to the point message to ubi asking what they are playing at???

They've either pulled a fast one making it look like there were two different steels when there's only one or they have sent out the wrong ones...
