The skull Kid figure is nice. ^^ It's what I expected. Not a patch on the F4F one though, obviously! XD The paperweight, not as big as I expected. Expected something... Weightier...? 0.o

Nice! My MM3D LE from Best Buy arrived moments ago. Wasn't well packed but it's in very nice shape. :D It's a beautiful box, I think you'll love it. GameStop shipped the rest of them today, won't be here till next Thursday but at least none were canceled!

Sorry to see that your Zelda CEs are damaged. :( Where did you order them from? I've ordered mine from Amazon. I hope to God that it doesn't come damaged as I have literally only paid for the nice box! XD

With regards to the damaged steelbooks. It would all depend on how much they've cost you and whether the cost of them is enough to justify you making a fuss about the damage. Was the item adequately packaged? In future I would recommend contacting sellers in advance about specific packing requirements. Especially for items like steelbooks and CEs in flimsy boxes as these are the most likely items to suffer in the post! >.<

whats scary about those little rips and tears is that i have seen some posted on ebay with the same EXACT problem, so i hope it's not too widespread, as i also have an on-line order for the zelda MM US collectors edition, since ordering instore for me was next to impossible.

Amazon MAY have reserved extras for just such an occasion as they typically will do that, but I would under no circumstance send one back until you've got a replacement that is in BETTER condition in-hand if it bothers you that much.

My amazon one came with a VERY similar rip (but on the left not the right) and minor paint scratch on the right of the box. It seems par for the course with these. The other one (which I'm going to keep) hasn't arrived yet, so I'm hoping its in better condition than the first, though not very hopeful.

Regarding the steelbooks, I know you got those off ebay. How did the auction list the items? Were they listed as "mint" "brand new" "dent-free"? If so, you could probably complain, but otherwise probably don't have too much footing. You'd just have to be proactive in the future about contacting sellers and making sure of a) the condition is what you want/expect and b) the packaging/shipping is above adequate.

Really not crazy about them and people are more than me.

I do not blame them as there is nothing wrong with buying something to sell and then try and make the one you keep cheaper, it is capitalism (supply and demand, yadda yadda).

I think we should all if we get to a pre-order that might be rare we should grab a couple in case for other members. I got lucky and someone here got me a Batmobile Edition as i missed that. I hope I can get one here in the US though as i know it will be expensive to import.

Mine arrived today in a similar condition to this one. :( Mine has a rip but on the left side only. Gonna get onto amazon customer support and hope to try and get some compensation or a partial refund. lol Will update here.

Other than that though, the item arrived in great shape. ^o^ No crush damage or nasty bumps which I was expecting and it came incredibly quickly. ^o^

lol Yeah. There has been some instances where the spare has been able to sell for that much that I effectively got my personal one for free. lol Mass Effect 3 launch was my favourite. My GF had made 2 pre-orders in store at GAME, one for me and one for her. I also made 2 pre-orders online without realising that she had already done it. THese pre-orders were made over 6 months in advance of the launch. About 3 weeks before the launch, just before GAME went into Administration, I noticed the prices of the Mass Effect 3 CE were selling for about £200~ on ebay, so I listed 2 copies at £200 OBO, expecting somebody to make a daft offer on them. Within 2 hours of my listing going up, 2 people had already bought them from me and paid in full. XD Was enough to pay for mine and my GFs copies with change. lol No shame. :P

I don't think we can blame retailers on this too much. There's a flaw on the design of the packaging. I can't think of a way to pack this without damaging the packaging.

Yeah, I guess you're right, but I've paid $76 just for the pretty box, since I don't have use for the game and I already have a statue for display. lol Debating whether I can be arsed to contact them. They're usually pretty good with issues, but like you said, it really couldn't be helped and it doesn't seem to be an isolated incident. >.<

Dont apologize! Ur right about that actually. I did think bout placing the watermark over the item, but that just bothers me too much with those text over my picture. So I just placed it at the corner, if people wanna steal it, they would still steal it.

Yeah I pre-ordered them from Nippon-Yasan. I did post links for it when pre-orders came up. Not sure whether anybody here ordered any, but it appears that they're sold out everywhere now. They cost me about £32 for the 2 sets with EMS shipping. ^^

I'll prob still grab another one when/if they come over here. Really want the Black Triforce faceplates too, but haven't found anywhere stocking those yet... :(

It's alright. It's just one of those things. They should come here eventually. Especially since GAME have a small standee at the counter advertising the "coming soon" cover plates and the MM Cover Plate is on there, so I remain hopeful! ^^

With regards to my GB, if I remember rightly, all of the CEs I had were mint. The majority of them came flat packed from GAME and I assembled them before sending them to people. They weren't very well presented. I think that was my main reason for being unimpressed with that CE. >.< There was also a massive faff around with me not getting sent enough posters for my orders and then one of my local stores got sent the Posters, but not the CE box or contents. It was one of the more painful Group Buys I have had to do. :banghead:

Yeah I was pleased that I didn't have to get boxes replaced for my group buy. Its a massive headache when items arrive damaged for group buys! >.< That's why I try to make a point of doing my GBs at my local store as they put all the best condition ones aside for me if they do have any damages. ^^ My Pokemon GB all the games were ready for me in a large box along with the figures. :D Just went in, paid and left. Lol In future, if you need items forwarding, just drop me a PM. :D Always happy to help out even if I'm not doing a group buy. :D

Primarily I ordered 5 because I knew some would arrived damaged. That's just my luck. Not sure if it's the delivery people on my route or what, but my prediction proved true. 80% damage rate this time. I always get two copies for myself, one to use and one to keep sealed. And I got one for a member here. And if I can make a little profit on the last two copies to lower the effective cost of my two copies then that helps keep my collection expenses down. If it means there's a special place in hell for me then oh well. :P

Yeah, I'm not big on clothing, but the lootcrate Zelda exclusive t-shirt was pretty sweet. Not sure what to expect with this block, but the zombie things you got look pretty good for a monthly box (if you're into that genre I suppose).

I just read the TOS and it looks like nerdblock/arcadeblock does the same thing where they automatically re-enroll you the next month. I'm getting tired of this business-model. Its really annoying when I ask a company to send me 1 thing, or sign up for 1 month/year/whatever and they make it near impossible to stay with just that one subscription. I had used a remote access company service for awhile too and they wouldn't even let you cancel the card at all - i went in and changed the name to a fake name, a fake address, and a fake expiration date and they still billed it to mine! Unfortunately there aren't any interstate commerce laws or regulations that you could bring them up on for these things - its just "scummy business practice" is what it is.

Yeah, but their business model is still "you sign up for this, we'll keep signing you up for everything after this too unless you say otherwise". It's scummy. If I wanted 6 months, I'd sign up for 6 months. When I pick "1 month" I should be able to choose "1 month ONLY".

It's a very nice statue! ^^ The same quality as I have come to expect from the F4F line. ^^ My only gripe is, she doesn't attach to the base. :( She's obviously got a large enough base around her dress for her to stand freely with no issues, but I personally would have preferred she had a peg into the base. Anyway... Money well spent! ^^

I really like that standee! Very sharp! I'm not into collecting standees too often, but seeing yours makes me want to try and get one of the tall Zelda ones I've seen on CL and Ebay occasionally. It'd be a nice "shelf" for some Zelda collectibles to put in my gaming room when its eventually done!

Well the design difference is in the chain and cap. The cap on the US one opens and also the chain does not go directly through the vial.

Collecting amiibos is really crazy. Some are not rare at all, others are sold out within 5 minutes ... NA gets a Gold Mario amiibo but no 'normal' one which EU gets ... :scratch:

I'm not yet back home, currently visiting my parents. But I will be back home in early April.

Btw: I wanted to check my local store for some amiibos when I'm back. Do you still need some (especially from the Super Mario wave) ? Including them
to the your stuff already sitting at my home would be no problem.

Demon's Souls & Dark Souls... definitely one of the masterpieces out there, died million times to beat bosses, made my nightmares come true. Old but gold, Demon's Souls is an art in my opinion. I recommend to everyone to play these games :v:

I managed to buy it from a really nice guy who happened to work for Ubisoft. Moo is right, from the off it was not packaged that well, too little padding for an expensive item (still, flattening a solid box? No matter how well you package, the item would still be damaged). And this package was delayed too for almost a week.

I really dont know how the f***ing hell USPS could do this... The seller is very kind, and he sent me a new one, the last one he had in his possession. So after the huge disappointment and all the stress, at least I got what I wanted finally.

Yea Knight, I purposely did it so I could get that award that nobody seems to want here :p and coma I know mine update is the best, obviously it gave everyone chill when they saw it.

At least we know how Ezio looks inside... :suicide:

Oh and thank you guys for all the condolences... From now on, if I buy an expensive item, I would pay for fast shipping. Because the longer it takes to ship, the higher chances of my item will be damaged during transit. Another thing, I believe most of you already knew this, teach the seller how to 'double box' your item, and between each box there should be a layer of padding.

So I unboxed both MKX CEs (or KEs). My conclusion is the EU one comes with more goodies but the statues is not very good, it is made by Pure Arts but feels like the cheapest one yet from them. The Coarse Statue is cartoony looking and is still made of plastic, but it is far better quality (and after seeing them up close I like it much better then the EU one).

Not a CE for everyone as it lacks a lot of physical goodies that is so common in CEs. But the Kombat Pack (Season Pass) & the Designer Figurine (if you can appreciate it) makes up for it.

I just received the Dead Island Zombie Bait LE. I think it was a UK release exclusive and apparently was a little controversial. The game's not the best but still good enough for some multi-player fun.
All of this LE stuff is so expensive in Australia so I was very happy with the price.
All up I think it's a very cool collector piece to display. There's not even any need to open the box as it has a window that opens to display the mutilated bikini chick.

Quite disappointing, to be honest. I expected it to have a box at least, like the LE they did for the first game. But no, they simply shipped it all stuffed in a cardboard envelope, the t-shirt didn´t even have a bag for it. Luckily I had one lying around from a japanese t-shirt I got off the old Atlus D-shop ages ago, so decided to put it in for the pic.
