I must say Atlus really dropped the ball when designing this one, the cardboard is so flimsy that finding one in this condition was quite difficult. Even so, this one is not really perfect, but compared to some I´ve seen on auctions, it is pristine.

Nice pick-up! I wish ballistic would make new folios for different games -- they are quality books. It's easy to see why they don't though when the GoW and (other) GoW are still available in large quantities.

Yeah only games like Uncharted have huge fan base who are willing to pay $300+shipping for a book. There are still more than half of GoW folio edition left... I really want to buy it but it's just too expensive... Although I love GoW, I don't love it as much as I love Uncharted.

Yeah seems like it is pretty darn rare as I had not seen one before that and I had it for quite along time and had not seen another since (got it quite awhile ago).

I actually was holding it but Katijania (probably misspelling that) was buying a few kits from me and asked what else I had. Well in my list i included that at the bottom but saying I was waiting to list it around this time when Arkham Knight was coming out (hence the interested I have already gotten from a couple members... I still find it amazing how out mood changes near a release of a new game, the hype sinks in and the collector part of us goes in to overdrive :D ).

But he accepted my price so I sold it. I had planned on listing it here and then eBay around now but it just did not work out that way.

Looking at pics and youtube videos of this edition didn´t really do it justice, it is a really neat box, I love that the cardboard on it seems to have this "velvet" sort of feel to it, hard to explain. Anyway, really happy I picked this up, cost me a ton because of my weak currency, but well worth it.

EDIT: Is there any way to make the thumbnails show up beside one another? I tried copying the links beside one another without spaces, but to no avail (works in another forum I participate, though), no idea if there´s a way to do it.

Just got the Batman Arkham Knight Batarang today (did a video but here is a first look I guess). Wanted to say it is really good if anyone else was interested in their quality, the one I got from Amazon was only $25. Will post the vid within the week (I have a few really good vids coming up).

The "Creepy Cat Statue" is the Cheshire Cat from American McGee's Alice game. I honestly can't remember where the Tomb Raider Cel is from. I'll ask her and PM ya. :D The 3DS Game is Senran Kagura 2 DX Pak from Japan and the DQ Steelie was a China exclusive which Lemur forwarded for me! XD I think there was an obscure site which was selling them standalone too. Lol I'll see if I can find it! ^^

Totally by accident! GAME had an offer that if you preorder Halo 5, and buy this at the same time, you got it discounted.

It was £28 for this (now down to £25 since I did this a few days ago), but when ordered at the same time as the Halo 5 CE (which is £199.99), it discounted this to £22.99.

Only, in my basket, it made the total cost £207.99 for some weird reason :haha: And I had some reward points leftover, so used them to get it for £2.42 :D

Honestly didn't think it would've worked (expected a "Your order has been cancelled" email or whatever) so didn't want to post in here until I'd got it, plus, immediately after ordering, I couldn't recreate it again, so it must've purely been a website glitch of some sort :)

Totally by accident! GAME had an offer that if you preorder Halo 5, and buy this at the same time, you got it discounted.

That's really weird, I got the same offer and I might've gotten it for free.
Game, for some reason, took somewhere in the region of £42-£45, but then either the same day or the day after, the gave me all the money back, no idea what's happened with that but I haven't been charged again since that.




As for my recent purchases (the last two aren't CE's but are pretty rare at least):

1. I finally picked up the Mortal Kombat X Kollector's Edition (not the Coarse one).
Can't wait to see the statue tomorrow and trying the game, haha, I kinda suck at fighting games but my partner's brother and I have confessed that we both suck so we'll be nicely matched for this weekend! :P

2. Battlestar Galactica RPG Core book
Wanted this for ages, finally seen a good price today and jumped at it.

3. Warhammer 40k RPG - Dark Heresy Core book
Picked up two other core books (Rogue Traders and Deathwatch) and a supplement for Dark Heresy for only £2.50 each at a charity shop on Saturday, flicked through them, thought they looked great and so wanted to pick up the first core book too.

Sorry, missed your post there, hope I'm not too late at replying.

I used to play LotR with a fairly sizeable army when I was at school and found the others interesting but never got too into them.

Although I love roleplay, only started a couple of years ago but fell in love instantly, started on Pathfinder but properly started a bit later on D&D 3.5 and also done some Star Wars and one-shot stuff, then about 6 months later I made and started running my own D&D 3.5 game.
So I seen the 40k books for only £2.50 each in a charity shop and instantly had to buy them; it could have been any RP book to be fair, if any was £2.50 for a big, hardback core book I'd pick it up without hesitation to not only add to the collection but also just to take a chance and see if it's any good.
But I read them and thought they were brilliant, just a great mix of dark, detailed, sci-fi, etc., they ticked all the boxes, so since my last post I've also picked up the first book, Dark Heresy, heh, a little more expensive at £25 but it's worth it to complete the first three core books and supposedly £25 is a reasonably good price for that anyway.

I think it's safe to say that my chance find has turned me into a fan. :)

I for one think these editions are hilarious and I think they're a brilliant talking point :) I've only got one boobie mouse mat so far, but it sure does give me a giggle :rotf:

Got lucky and won it real cheap from a seller in the US, via ebay. I wasn´t planning on getting a sealed copy but I´m glad I managed to, because this is one of those packaging types that gets worn and dented easily. Found this a couple months ago at a very good price, really nice box, specially sealed. Shame I can´t play it on my japanese 3DS due to DSi games being region locked, but oh well, the japanese version of the game is cheap, might as well pick up one.

I miss posting things in this thread... What Mags said way back when about only being able to choose two of the three is still applicable:

It is/was Best Buy, and no, it wasn't an in-store exclusive, you can do it online still I believe as well. The only issue is the chargers are now back-ordered, but looks like they'll be sent out in November sometime it seems. Also, the promo said you get a $15 gift card PER Halo 5 controller, but they seem to only give you one currently (for the Locke controller), so you can contact customer support and possibly get them to send another one (YMMV obviously) due to the wording on the promo. ALSO, since gift cards are involved, it won't let you use your reward certs (if you have any like me), but you may be able to get that adjusted with a quick call as well.

In a reply to my support ticket, it is unbelievably vague but it was a reply to my direct question about the engrams:

That is a very interesting question. Most are as far as I know, but this is more of a Sony PK thing them a ND thing I think. A lot of Sony kits tend to be numbered.
