Mine's ok still, I don't use it all that much though, I use it for my Xbox and yet to use it for my PC though, but I don't game that much on either of those platforms anyway. I need to get back my normal TE from a friend who "borrowed" it over a year ago :S xD

Thats what i am afraid of. It seems even from Assassins Creed 1 theres been several different versions of their collectors editions. Makes it hard,especially when the difference is usually a different coloured box or something different is added. The only exception i can think of is Assassins Creed Brotherhood with their Codex editions

I like the quality of the Space Marines CE too, and those who were reluctant to get it on release should reconsider now since it's very cheap! Just like the Bioshock 2 CE, still available and can still be found very dirty cheaply! :D

Agree completely,its possibly the best halo collectable to have next to the halo helmet,Bungie did well yet again. Its been so hard not to have been tempted to open my sealed Halo Reach Legendary,i just wanted to see that statue sitting there. Thankfully now,i dont have no temptation at all. I'm a happy camper:)

Instead of dropping me a slip to pick up the item, they decided to shove it into a small mailbox... damn thing now is no longer in any decent condition, not to mention, this was an absolute pain in the ass to remove from the mailbox.... Clowns...

I have no love at all for Canadapost,as far as i am concerned they suck big moose sausage. First & last time i ever used them it took over 6 months
for two consoles to arrive from Canada. Even then one arrived one day & the other about a week later. I probably could have walked there & back in
half the time it took them. They have to be almost the worst postal service i know of.

The last CE I bought was the Soul Calibur V which was very nice, nice touch with the red felt inside the box too.

Before that it was the Xbox 360 Crystal Edition of FFXIII-2 but didn't come with a steelcase, it arrived with the corner slightly squashed so I wasn't too pleased. Should have demanded some sort of discount from the ebay seller but didn't. :/

Just before that I bought the Limited Edition of FFXIII-2 for PS3 (kept) Xbox 360 (returned this to get Crystal).

It's a preview copy that was given to Naughty Dog Employees before the 200 run was out for sale. This one should never have been available to the public but has clearly been sold on by an insider. Making it very rare indeed. :D

Thanks. Well it cost me $1500. Value wise I honestly don't know. I will think it will be worth a pretty penny because it's based on a popular franshise and it's the only one in the world. No one has this not naughty dog, not even the one that created it. How many people can say that they own something that theres only one in the world. Naughty dog wanted to buy this but I was able to beat them too it. This also comes with a 20*30 art work that it's also limited to only 1 worldwide with no artist proofs. But I have not received that yet. I should get it by Tuesday.

Hi guys, just a quick question about the steelcases. Is it OK to have it spread open like that or does the plastic take some strain?

I'm just one of those particular people who like to keep things as new as possible so when opening something I don't fully open it as it creates a permanent crease. For example, with books I try to read them without cracking the spine if I can help it, or with magazines when I read them I hold them in a certain way because otherwise the back page gets a nasty dent as you flick through the pages which is never pretty.

Am I being too extra or is this the 'collectors' mentality? :D

^ This! Some of them lie flat anyway when open and are quite loose, like my Saints Row and Mass Effect 3 Femshep steel for example. Some won't lie flat, like my FS Mass effect steel.

If it won't lie flat, I won't push it down to be flat. It all depends on the steelbook. As Vhall said, you're not gonna damage the spine unless you try to fold it back on it's self. Lol

Before this pick up, I picked up like 200 games,(PS2, Gamecube, PSP, N64, NES, Gameboy and etc). Plus 18 consoles, and Promo stuff.

I set up a small shop in this store near me selling games the other day. Today a guy came in with all the games you see below, like a 100 titles in all. About 50 are CIB and the other half are loose. A Yobo console and 4 controllers. Got everything for $300, though the shop owner paid $200. There's quite some pricey titles in here. Like $100+ each. Can't beat $3 a game especially a collection like this.

Also have a little progress in my stolen PS Vitas, he'll be in jail soon...he'll get a plea bargain if he confesses/returns them. <br />

Yes you should. I got my PS3 version for $15 with unused DLC, whole thing complete, in mint condition. that was a good deal. Find out if the DLC has been used. Its a decent deal though.

It's an awesome price! But I noticed you can get them on eBay for $99AU.
EB are having a mass sale this weekend only and have slashed prices on many CE which are either instock online or stores only.

Crystal Edition was never sold sealed here because it's actually a PEGI edition with the Oz ratings sticker slapped over it.

Yeah you're right. I was looking at the Konami bit and convincing myself that the guy who got it all signed did the right thing. :)

It's all good - Zhaff is happy with it so that's what matters. But definitely get it boxed up, putting it in a plastic sleeve won't really help, it could rub the signature off too.

That keg was really cool! Too bad it got damaged tho. My latest purchase was the Max Payne 3 Special Edition for Xbox 360. A bit disappointed that the game wasn't in the box, but rather packed outside. Makes it difficult to have a sealed copy, as the box wasn't sealed at all.

But, that way I at least get to put the cool figure in an available spot on my shelf :-)

i geeked out today when anno 1404 ce turned up in my opinion it is the highest quality ce edition i have bought, nice wooden leather effect box, numbered, weighty compass in a wooden latch box, bonus dvd, art book poster and game.
it made me break personal rule and buy another to keep sealed.
i would advise any collector to order one from ebay or amazon.co.uk, i picked it up for £20 including p and p the place i orderd from packed it amazingly, and it is the uk/english version

edit:also came with a bag containg 6 almond seeds

yeah its a shame, i watch some aussie border force show, and some chinese lady got stopped taken the contents of her kitchen through custtoms, i think all she got through with was a bag of crisps and a $300 dollar fine in the end.

I wouldnt mind them not letting me take stuff in, as long as i could take a kangaroo out (would make a nice garden pet)
