So far all the uplay steelbooks are the dedsec ones

ouch...This is getting ugly for Ubi especially since the uplay edition is sold out for most platforms.

I am uploading an image of the ones received and they will report back as they have raised a query their end....

Also got this come today. I think it was the order I placed with Very.co.uk last year for £33. :D Surprised they honored it. I'm not actually sure though whether it is from them or not as it appears to have come from The Hut Group, but I haven't been invoiced for anything from them or Zavvi...? o.0 Anybody else had their Dedsec Ed from Very? Non-VG related Merch. :D These items are from the beloved Aardman Animations, Wallace and Gromit who alot of us will know and love. :D There was a tour and Charity auctions for Bristol Children's Hospital last year for the large statues that were on tour and smaller figures like these can be bought occasionally from the official Gromit Unleashed website (http://www.gromitunleashed.org.uk/) should anybody fancy them. :D They show as OoS atm, but they have some on sale on Saturday Mornings at 9am. You can see which ones on the facebook page. :D All sales go to Bristol Children's Hospital. :D

Yeah, I was surprised it was honored tbh. It was a misprice which was up for a short time one morning last year (http://collectorsedition.org/forums/showthread.php?t=12532&highlight=Dedsec&page=5)! XD A few of us jumped on it. Not sure whether anybody else got it too though. I actually called them the other day and enquired about the order since it was missing from my order history on my very account and the lady I spoke to stated it was being "dispatched from supplier", then that showed up yesterday with Yodel. :thumb:

Yeah, she had sent me the link on ebay before now and it looked really nice, but I personally couldn't justify the price on an unofficial item from somebody I have never bought from before. XD However in this case it was a really good call and the item is really well made and the paint job is great too, as I tried to highlight in the later pics. lol The moon looks ace too. :D Might grab one later on. ^o^ Thanks for the Birthday wishes too. lol I wanted one when the XB1 came out, but it was out of the question given the cost of the console and other games and stuff I had purchased. :S It's a very nice edition, just wish it had come with the game. I prob would have bought it at launch if it came with the Steelbook game. :D

I received my metal gear solid 2 bande dessinée konami style edition today. I loove that sleeve really it has a fantastic aluminium effect to it... and the steelbook's artwork is equaly awsome except for the lack of artwork on the inside.

I don't think it's in the database. I'll submit it in. Don't really have a proper place to do a more professional shot that will be suitable for the database.

Yeah - It does seem like a great fit. Still sad that the US really didn't have any type of "technology" pre-order bonus en masse. Not even a USB drive or something. All I was able to get was a poster :(

Ahh the USB! I actually ordered it from Game UK but they cancelled it because it was too heavy for international orders. No heart to ask anyone to help with forwarding since shipping will cost quite a bit.

For me, the entire CE isn't a must get itself

I was quite surprised that it came in it's own box. I expected the hoodie and USB to just come bundled in the package with the Vigilante Ed.

Also, I thought these had sold out... o.0 They were definitely OoS the other day. Looks like the PS4 is still in stock though.

At least it was well packed. I imagine with 8 layers it arrived just fine?

Also a good thing is it was most likely recycled cardboard... so it may have been a very old tree :D

Okay, probably my truly favorite item from E3 is The Witcher 3 press kit. This was given out to select press at a invite only gameplay presentation showcasing the game's awesomeness (I can't go into specifics, just know that it was awesome :drool:). The room was tiny with about 30 others, but with free beer who can complain?

After the demo presentation they held interviews, and that's when I noticed the box in the bag was a statue. @_@

Of all the Triple A game studio today, CD projekt red is by far the on that think the most about what player really wants at all levels, be it advertisement, excelente pricing for their incredibly high quality collector's edition, and more importantly, DRM FREE GAME FOR FUCK SAKE. Exactly, and they are super friendly with their FAN. I went at Gamescom last year and was in queue for a T-shirt of the game at the end I started the conversation with one of the level designer " Miles Toste ". Well as soon as I said I worked in the game industry too as an environment artist ( which is slightly related to what he does ), we got a discussion of over half an hour about everything that we though made a game " FREAKING AWSOME ", while people were around him wanting to have a word with him too, it was too late for them, we were having a passionate conversation about our work and there was no way to interupt us :D

I'm pretty sure you have an idea of how much love and passion the guy had for his work and the need to make above excelent work, everything reflected back at me while we were speaking.

The more I see of The Division the more I get excited, and this excitement definitely extended to their E3 booth this year.

There, Ubisoft had a shadowy figure dressed up in a grey jumpsuit with gas mask secretly giving away Division paracord bracelets to anyone that pledged allegiance to a certain group in the game (I forgot). AC did a similar giveaway (http://i.imgur.com/OLVJDg0.jpg) with a French soldier carrying two flags.

I also ran into Director Ryan Barnard and to my surprise he remembered me from last year. We ended up talking a bit and during that conversation he slipped something into my messenger bag (not what you think :spiteful:). It was a badge from the game, I have yet to see anyone else with this and apparently the rumor is that it was a gift to the developers that worked on the game..? (anyone with more info on this please pm me)

I knew in advance that most of the devs from Ubisoft Massive Studio would be present, so of course I had to get the poster from last year's press kit signed.

That gives me a great idea -- something to build down the road! I should totally build a display shelf/cabinet/shrine(?) for some of the series I collect. It'd be pretty easy but cool to have a theme-appropriate shelving unit or something to display the different zelda items, or halo items, or AC things... would obviously have to make it modular though so it could be moved.

yeah, guilty gear is an awesome series, and getting a new one is like an answer to my prayers. Daisuke Ishiwatari (http://www.siliconera.com/postgallery/?p_gal=128698|0) (creator/artist/composer of GG) acts less like a game developer and more like a rock star, really nice guy though.

I am really impressed with it! Fantastic paintwork and finish and loved the care with packaging - the tissue wrapped around the figure was tucked under the chain - presumably to stop it rubbing on the paintwork of the figure himself during transit - nice touch :) :thumb:

I am really impressed with it! Fantastic paintwork and finish and loved the care with packaging - the tissue wrapped around the figure was tucked under the chain - presumably to stop it rubbing on the paintwork of the figure himself during transit - nice touch :) :thumb:

Yeah the packaging from what I have seen is amazing. I am sure it was worth the wait and definitely nice of Gary and Treehouse for setting it up.

The overall swag theme of this year's E3 was definitely shirts. Nearly every mentionable game at the show had a free shirt to go along with it. Most of the shirts I received are going straight to Goodwill but there were a few that stood out from the rest.

Got my The Last of Us Press Kit signed, more than 80 signatures from Naughty Dog if I counted right. Waited more than 2 months for it!

Crysis and DS are steelbooks. Stalker ( Call of Prypiat ) is some kind of steelbook but it's not clear steel :)

Recently had the chance to attend a Japanese entertainment event. While there I was introduced to one of the guys behind some of my favorite Vita/DS games, Spike Chunsoft producer Yoshinori Terasawa. He was there talking about the upcoming Danganronpa 3 that was currently in production.

Ended up getting a sexy DR1/2 print signed by Terasawa.

Danganronpa is probably gonna go down as the sleeper hit of 2014. Highly recommend it if you're a fan of games like Phoenix Wright or 999/VLR.
